For researchers
Verified institutions
TheGodex separates finding from deciding: volunteer machines pre-screen public survey imagery, the community corroborates candidates, and verified institutions provide the expert tier — the final human judgment that turns a community-corroborated candidate into a verified find.
What a verified institution can do
- Expert verification. Your review verdicts carry expert weight: a candidate the community has corroborated becomes expert verified on your confirmation — the step that precedes reporting a discovery outward (e.g. to the Minor Planet Center).
- Attribution. Your reviews are credited with a “Verified institution” badge wherever your profile appears.
- No shortcuts. Institution accounts face the same rate limits and the same blind accuracy measurement as everyone else. Trust here is earned and measured, never assumed.
Who qualifies
Observatories, universities, research groups, planetariums, and credentialed amateurs with a demonstrable track record (published follow-up, MPC observer credentials, or equivalent). We verify every application manually.
How to apply
Create a free account, then submit the application form — your organisation, role, institutional email and website, an ORCID if you have one, and a short note on how you would verify candidates. We review applications individually and record every decision.
